With specialized training in Improvisation, Puppetry, Acting, Directing, Writing and more, Rob has come to value the time spent with his students immeasurably.
Rob's first professional arts instruction position was working with Delaware Theatre Company (Summer on Stage, 2015- 2017). There Rob was the Improv Teacher as well as a director for one of each camp session's "show group" presentations. Here he refined teaching long form improvisation for younger talent. Following 4 successful summers with DTC, Rob was a founding member of Pennsylvania Theatre Institute at West Chester University in 2018, serving as Improv instructor for children from ages 8-18, including teaching several puppetry workshops with high school students. In 2019, Rob designed and built original puppets for A Midsummer Night's Dream while mentoring students through the puppetry build and performance process. Beyond these structured educational ventures Rob has served as a coach, a guest artist, teaching assistant, counselor, and guest speaker to numerous organizations throughout his career. Rob believes in a practical approach to instructional learning, but true to his deep roots in improvisation, is able to adjust and shift on the fly. |
